Well, I've lived through some too, and they didn't all turn out badly, but the crap penny stocks all did.
The question is...is AMEP a crap stock, with a crap CEO, crap asset base and crap prospects? NO, very few longs think that. Has Bitters sold AMEP stock in the past for much else than asset accumulation? No, I don't think so.
Is it bad for the company and the shareholders for the CEO to hold 30% of the stock? I would say, no - it's bad only if he starts to frigging sell it off - and he has eight years to convert the shares so I'm betting he won't be selling any time soon.
And why the hell should I care? I mean really. All I want is for him to make me rich - and if he gets 30% of the company in the process, I'll sniff a tear or two. Not.
I don't care if my million dollar payday comes from 1,000,000 shares at a dollar or 40,000 shares at 30 bucks.
Having said that, I'll be voting no too, but more on the basis of hedging bets. I'm more comfortable with go slow and keep the shares intact. I just want the damn thing over with so we can talk about oil and gas again.
