3) to_profit - you are exactly right that there could, and probably is, more to this story than meets the eye.

What I am excited about is that this board has the same amount of shares now as they did in early march, before the divy was announced.

This tells me Alex didn't sell his 68 million shares between now and then.
In your senario, those shares could have entered the market and be in the hands of insiders - this too is a good thing. It would mean things are progressing and all is good.

As for the rest of your statement, I again have to agree with you, since the more time I spend doing DD, the less I realize I know.

I think this board is a very intelligent group, who have done more DD on this stock than any other stock they have ever owned, or thought about owning.
We are all fully aware of Pinkie scams, and how they work to scam or dilute, and then probably short their own stock as it plummets after their NR's blitz ends.

can a group of 70 very intelligent, cognizant people be that gullible to fall for this SCAM, if indeed it is one?
