Yesterday Metalink made a seemingly procedural announcement in which it said that its chipset had received WiFi certified 802.11n draft 2.0 Certification, but the significance of this is actually phenomenal since it amounts to a green light for the company to begin sales. The announcement constituted an endorsement of the technological superiority of its chipset in high-speed wireless relay of video content within the home, compared with that of its competitors. I believe the company will record its first significant sales in the fourth quarter, with an orders backlog from the third quarter, which started on Sunday.
