Updated Satellite Surveillance--

There's lots and lots of water on the ground in SE Kansas. Roads are covered, highways are cut off, and many houses are either flooded or isolated by the floodwaters. But, you knew that...you've seen in on the national news. It's a real emergency affecting a lot of people's lives.

Here's a bit more...

Woodson County--some of the southern leases are in the flood plain and are currently underwater. Other leases are above the flood plain, but thoroughly drenched, muddy and impassable at the current time.

Montgomery County--lots of water came through the Montgomery county lease, and it looks like it may have washed out one section of the access road. Not a big deal compared to a lot of other damage in the county.

NEWS FLASH...people in SE Kansas are working together to survive. Very, very few businesses (if any) are conducting business as normal during this Emergency.

I've been told there have been no casualties of any of the Hemi Energy employees, their families or their houses at this point...for that I am very thankful.

Human Interest Story--
"Big Ugly", a huge 6 ton truck (in a former life an Army vehicle and a favorite in local parades with a very high ground/water clearance) is owned by Hemi Energy. "Big Ugly", driven by a Hemi employee, was spotted assisting the Allen County Sheriff's department. Apparently, it was the only vehicle that was able to traverse a flooded section of a remote road and rescue several people who had been trapped in their houses by the floodwaters. Now, that kind of PR and good will can't be bought...period! The local people and public officials now know and will remember that Hemi Energy came through for them in a time of crisis. The moral high ground established by helping people in trouble using the talents and assets available to the company is exemplary, and will not be forgotten by anyone involved--ever!

"Mr. Catfish"(Hemi employee and driver of "Big Ugly"--smile! You are a bonafide hero...not only to me, but to the locals you rescued. (All in a day's work...etc...your modesty becomes you, but it is still real lives you were helping out--big time!)

Editorial...
Our Hemi Energy management made the call to make "Big Ugly" and "Mr. Catfish" available to help out local officials "in any way possible" during this time of emergency. That single fact should tell you MUCH more about the value of this company than any production report could.

Rest assured, once the emergency is over, the same leadership and hard work displayed today will ensure that Hemi Energy will flourish in more "normal" times. The production numbers will come and our stock price per share realign with the true value of this company, its people and its assets.

Today, I am very proud to be a part of Hemi Energy as a shareholder.
