Key milestones achieved for the first quarter 2007 included the following:
On March 2, 2007 Ecosphere Technologies provided their first official demonstration of the Mobile Water Purification System (MWPS) to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). During a demonstration, the MWPS was employed on the banks of the Potomac River to convert river water directly into clean drinking water for decision-makers from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), an agency of the Department of Homeland Security.
The Company recruited a new Marketing Executive, Gordon Goodman. Mr. Goodman, a former Senior Advisor for Perot Systems, brings a career filled with significant marketing and business development skills and accomplishments. A recent achievement of Mr. Goodman includes achieving sales of over $400MM for his previous employer. Gordon and his team's primary focus will be to achieve revenue goals of Ecosphere's filtration unit, and they initiated that work at the Florida Governor's Hurricane Conference in Ft. Lauderdale.
Showcased its MWPS for disaster relief efforts at the Florida Governor's Hurricane Conference. The conference is a venue for both new and experienced disaster responders. The Florida Governor's Conference took place the week of May 14 at the Broward Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Ecosphere engaged the most well recognized company in the Intellectual Property marketing space, Ocean Tomo, to begin to monetize Ecosphere's technologies including patents and business enterprises well positioned as technology inventory to be brought to the marketplace.
Provided patented ship stripping services to the US Naval vessel, the USNS Guadalupe in San Francisco Drydock.
Ecosphere received strong valuation of its technology, from UTEK, a credible third party who specializes in technology valuations and derives revenue and EBITDA from technology valuations consulting and sales.
