The subject of their data feed service provider problems appears to be an ongoing issue. I sense the current relationship between SC and Thomson is very strained and given the number of legal agreements in the supply chain from the exchanges to SC, I would guess that everyone is working by the book.

I did a very unscientfic study on Prophet.com who I have been told, are SC's immediate competition. Prophet get their data from Reuters and so does my broker E trade. Their worst case downtime is ~ 24 hours...an extremely rare occurrence I might add. Usually it is just a couple of minutes.

Clearly Stockcharts know what they are doing when it comes to their part of the supply chain. The issue appears to be their ability to manage their vendors. If GM had a parts issue with a vendor resulting in the inability to produce their cars we know what the customers would do.

I am uncomfortable with the need for SC to bare their soul in the explanation given to us. Their performance at the end of the day is not acceptable. Nothing in their explanation makes me feel there will be any changes...it appears that they (and us) have a very unpredictable situation on their hands. Customers will have to either put up with it or seek alternatives.

I appreciate Cush putting up with some venting on his forum. We all know it is useless communicating with SC...there is however some relief in being able to voice an opinion here.
