Apple has been negotiating this deal for a long time. They now have till "spring" to cough up some blue iPods. They should be prepared to deliver in a timely fashion. I believe they are.

Seems like only the outercasing will be different from the current models.

Maybe we'll all want to have blue iPods when we see it. Apple will make money if we buy from HP, though not as much as if we buy from Apple directly, and not as much as if we buy from any of the iPod dealers to whom Apple sells.

The more iPods out there, the more people will want one. That's a priori given. :)

Apple is a big winner on this deal. So is HP, actually. They will benefit from the Apple cachee (cachet?)

I really need more Apple shares. It was up in AH. Waiting for another dip... maybe.
