Yes, IRBT has military applications, mine sweeping robots, and is developing a heavier robot capable of picking up and carrying wounder soldiers to safety. They also have scoobas and roombas in several configurations, some for work shops and homes with pets. I love my roomba and it does most of the floor cleaning at my house. Their website has several interesting videos of robots in development.

I originally bought the stock at $29 and have been underwater for well over a year. It was down to $14 for a while but is now around $20. It is too young to have a prediction. The management is young and cocky and has alienated investors but I have a good feeling about the technology and it potential applications.

There is a Japanese robot company which is making robots to clean skyscraper windows. One of the folks found on the IRBT message board has a good site blogging on all things robot related.
