Point of Farmer Geezer's Cross?

Driving from the church
of those "dying well," yesterday,
by the same ole
broken country homes
i've driven lots on my way.

A large structure, not there
before
caught my eye.
I turned to see
“what the hell!!”
I couldn’t help but yell
a cross no less than 10 feet
high- first thought was “why???"

Lights wound up and down,
left to right,
Sunlight hid
the lights from sight.

Good gawd,
for what reason?
Tis not the season
Of Xmas norEaster
"What's the point?
What's up farmer Geezer?"

eyes suddenly,
drawn
to it's point at center
where the poles dissect-
the crossroad for the sinner?

head spinning beyond belief
all this nonsense
good gawd, I just want my release!

I wonder if that point-
at the center,
at spinning speeds;
is this the point I should heed?
Please, show me then,
show me when and
how to enter....
