Yup Dusty, I particularly like these lines:
(tlxx)

ACS has finalized its offering documents and is ready to hit the pavement beginning this week as the firm and a network of affiliates begins an international media blitz to raise $8.8 billion in pre initial public offering funds.

“The market is ready for a different kind of venture fund, one that is fully transparent not only to the money managers who have a fiduciary duty to the public beneficiaries, but to the whole world, says Acs, who is a strong proponent of “open society”, a philosophy disseminated by George Soros and his Open Society Funds.

"Every other Venture Capitalist is thinking in the next 12 to 24 months of going out to the market to raise funds," said Warren Haber, partner in Mellon Ventures, a $1.4 billion New York private equity fund. "Every three to five years, funds have to go back to the trough."

and this from that recent pr:

Tokyo-Japan (PRWEB) December 9 2003--The Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan is being approached by financier Gabor Sandor Acs to structure a transaction to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Resona Holdings Inc., a troubled bank in Japan that has
been infused with over 2 trillion Yen by the agency over the past few years.

and lastly these tidbits:

Fuel cell automobiles may not emerge until after 2011 according to some industry experts, but this may rapidly change as one firm has established a project to cut this development time in half.

Advanced Capital Services has announced that it is interested in accelerating the expansion of this burgeoning global industry by providing the means for capital creation to deliver this technology to an estimated $1.6 trillion annual global market.

"We have identified 34 key participants in this industry including Avista, Ballard Power Systems, DuPont, FuelCell Energy, General Electric, H Power, Honeywell International, Plug Power, Siemens, and United Technologies who we are approaching to participate in a multi billion venture pool to rapidly accelerate fuel cell technology," said Special Agent for Relationship Development, Medgar L. Reid in Maryland.
