I kinda was wondering that myself. I think the average penny player is immune to that kind of paid pumping. I did a little searching and the CEO has consistantly applyed himself to these kind of venues. A simple google search of his name brought up multiple interviews in the past.
The thought I was having was that if your gonna use stock for funding you have to create a market for the financers to recoup their money in. Kinda hard to get folks to give you funds for a block of shares for which there is no market.
I really don't have any proof for this theory other than past interview history, but nature abhors a vacuum.
Also if the share price falls too low in some of these deals it increases the financers share count or options.
Stockguru has covered ONGO for a while. The shares they were paid for their coverage are restricted.
