how bizarre they are,
the rituals a six year old
has already endured being
REARed in a cathlick family.
Baptismal, just beyond the birth canal.
First confession and first communion before age seven.
That first confession is particular bizarre.
It could be, this is where the wrong turn in the road occurs.
Prior to the First Confession, a young one has to practice
what to say upon entering the booth.
For weeks, we practice- repeating
"Bless me father, for I have sinned!"
So, maybe in a 6 year olds mind, one has to sin to get a blessing!
What if there's no sins to confess?
Would it mean by father, I'd not get blessed?
