Greycourt & Co., a Pittsburgh-based independent wealth management boutique founded by former Mellon family office president Greg Curtis, has two new offices with plans to expand.

Houston and Cleveland are key wealth markets where the firm has existing relationships, and the decision to open offices in these two cities was based on available talent, said Mark Laskow, CEO.

The firm has hired Roy Nichol, CFA, to the post of Managing Director heading Greycourt’s Southwest office in Houston. Roy was formerly a Managing Director in The Private Bank of JPMorgan Chase where he worked with ultra affluent individuals and private foundations.

Named by Worth magazine in 2002 as one of the top financial advisers in the US, Roy has extensive experience in providing clients strategic advice on overall investment direction, risk mitigation and insuring asset allocation is consistent with tax-and estate-planning considerations.

Roy’s current and former community activities include the Holocaust Museum Houston board (where he has served as chairman), the Memorial Hermann Foundation, Casa de Esperanza, and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Roy is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and is a member of the Houston Society of Financial Analysts .

He holds a BA in Economics from Baylor University. Roy may be reached directly at 713-237-0099, via email at rnichol@greycourt.com, or at Greycourt & Co., Inc., 808 Travis Street, Suite 914, Houston, TX 77002.

Kathi Chapman, CFA, was put in charge of the Cleveland office. Prior to joining Greycourt Kathi headed a Cleveland-based wealth management firm that served endowments, foundations, and high net worth individuals. Before launching her own firm Kathi served as Assistant Treasurer and Director of Investments for Case Western Reserve University, the largest private endowment in Ohio.

Kathi has broad experience in a wide range of asset classes, both public and private. She has considerable experience in wealth management issues including designing and implementing investment strategies in a variety of environments. She has worked extensively with investment committees, investment managers, attorneys, and financial institutions. Kathi has served as Treasurer of the Cleveland Society of Securities Analysts and Co-Chair of the Continuing Education Committee.

She was Chair of the Investment Committee of the Child Guidance Center Foundation Board, served on the Cleveland Opera Foundation Board and the Greater Cleveland Hospital Association Pension Investment Committee.

Kathi is a Chartered Financial Analyst, earned an MBA in Finance from Cleveland State University, and a BA in Finance from Baldwin-Wallace College. Kathi may be reached directly at 440-572-4973, via email at kchapman@greycourt.com, or at Greycourt & Co., Inc., 17450 Shurmer Road, Strongsville, OH 44136.

Greycourt provides financial advisory services to wealthy individuals and families, and select endowments. In 1999 Greycourt & Co., Inc. launched its independent, fee only, conflict free "open architecture" consulting service, a combination of independence, tax awareness and extensive intellectual resources.

Greycourt today is one of the best-recognized open architecture firms advising wealthy families on their investment portfolios and other wealth management issues.
