It is discouraging (Not just for this stock but other penny's I own). Based on your reply, "it is a good time to be accumalating shares", if this is the case then the shares would be in demand, and the demand for shares would force a tic upward, the tic upward should have the effect of worrying the short sellers that they should'nt wait 35-60 days and should start covering their positions now, thus creating more demand, short squeeze etc, regardless of when the rules go into effect. If you watch the quotes as I do, everytime there is a buy, within a minute of 2 someone is selling. Could be an MM trying to spook people into selling. I can't imagine that someone is making money at .0005. I looked at the chart and I can't see where there is a time period this stock was below .0005, so people are selling at a loss to get out of the position, or someone is in cahoots with the shorts. The other thing I worry about is what prevents the shorts from taking on even more short positions, then covering their previous shorts and they just keep the ball perpetually in motion.

As far as instant gratification. I'm an investor, not a trader. I'm looking for stocks that I can buy on the cheap today, and I'm willing to hold for 5 years or longer. So, I won't be dumping my positions anytime soon. I'm hoping that I stumble across the next goog, msft or aapl. However, given the return that I have been getting from my penny's so far, all I can say is that I'm sure glad I have a good fund manager taking care of my 401k!
