Airborne Data Provides Multiple High Priority Targets

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 20, 2007) - Grande Portage Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:GPG - News; "Grande Portage" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the following updates:

Old Sport Horizon

The Company conducted Borehole EM geophysics on DDHMW-07-54 which was completed into the Old Sport Horizon. As per the drillhole, stringer massive sulphides were detected but not large bodies of massive sulphides. An initial review of the drill core into the Old Sport indicates that insufficient pre-mineralization faults were present to fracture the ground and allow for quantities of massive sulphide deposition. A further review of pre and post mineralization fault structures will be undertaken.

Drilling Underway at Marten Showing

This week, the Company commenced drilling numerous holes from what will be at least 3 separate platform locations on the Marten showing. This area is a fault offset continuation of the main Merry Widow massive sulphide mineralization where the Company identified many high grade drill intersects during 2006.

The mineralization consists of massive chalcopyrite, pyrite, pyrrhotite and magnetite with lesser cobaltite hosted within limestone. Unlike other showings, the mineralization is massive without much skarn assemblage development on surface. A series of fan holes will test both along strike and down dip. The core will be analyzed by ALS Chemex Labs in North Vancouver, BC.

This represents the Company's first drill activity in the Merry Widow pit area for 2007. The Marten, along with other numerous high priority showings, will be aggressively drill tested throughout the next few months.

Preliminary Airborne Data

The Company is pleased to announce that it has received preliminary MAG data and EM interpretation from Aeroquest Ltd. on the recently completed 1,500 line kilometre airborne geophysical survey at its Merry Widow project. The EM data provided 6 very good high priority targets which will be followed-up and 5 secondary targets which the Company will further investigate.

The MAG data has defined the northwestern limit of the host gabbro diorite intrusive stock. This new data will now be digitally incorporated with last year's airborne in order to better understand the geology and exploration targets. The planned airborne geophysical survey on the recently acquired Cherry claims will commence the third week in July. This 1,950 line kilometer survey is also being flown by Aeroquest Ltd.
