They were pointing out how widespread the drought has become in the Southeast....and were actively hoping for a tropical storm or hurricane to bring some much needed moisture to the region. That is certainly a change of attitude! I guess the expense of crop damage is beginning to dwarf the cost of hurricane damage for your lower powered, non-Katrina variety storms.
Goin' outside to mow the lawn now for the first time in many weeks. This past week was the first rain in Atlanta in several months barring an occasional drizzle. Got a fair amount of rain this past week....and the veggies are getting blossoms, and the grass is coming out of near-dormancy and starting to grow again.......Z.
