Re: Sharing the task of filtering postings

Hello gk, Is it possible on this site to select 'ignore' for a specific poster? If so, how does one do it, and is it possible to allow each of us to select who we want to see, rather than have an editor, apparently yourself, decide totally for us what we should see? I'm concerned when a number of messages are 'disappeared'. If it is not possible to select 'ignore', how can we fix that? This capability seems to work well on a site such as Yahoo (where it is unfortunately very necessary).

I can appreciate that it is a difficult task to filter out what to allow and what not. Thank you for taking the time to help keep the views here polite and reasonable. I'm asking in the spirit of making that task a shared one with each of us. Perhaps you could lower your barrier slightly and allow us to raise our own as we see fit. It would help avoid the feeling of being a consumer of managed information, which in turn depreciates the value of what we do see.

Thank you, pgs
