Well said, Scooby. We have not had much of a rudder since the unfortunate death of Lawrence Meeley. I still miss him ... as much as a friend as anything else. He was the only person we've had in the top echelon that had major real world successful business experience.
We've had shots at a couple of others who were heavy hitters with great resumes and roladexs. They were either not favorably viewed by the powers that were, or in most instances, they were not going to be involved with some of the personalities that have been venerated on this board.
Many are holding out great hope for Malcolm's replacement. Probably won't improve anything. The reason is simple: MS prefers to surround himself with YES-men. The CEO will have to meet that criteria or he won't be hired .... and remember, MS is going to stay on as Chairman of the Board. Nothing will change ... we'll stay on this slippery slope.
