Gsm is scheduled for extinction in a few years, evolving into w-cdma and qcom will get a royalty on nearly every phone sold in the world. This is, finally, an agreed upon fact by all but the most ignorant. So much for the gsm victory. so much for edge. So much for tdma, so much for qcom not getting royalties on w-cdma. So much for w-cdma getting to market first(rotflmao) before cdma-2000.

The areas of fud are now more concentrated around how qcom will get the Chinese to pay(answer:they formed several divisons on China run by Chinese qcom employees, and do as much manufacturing there as possible, and probably gave them a better deal than the Koreans), what the various contracts really pay, what cross licensing agreements with various companies mean, and how long can qcom mintain near 100% cdma-2000 market share.
