Loved Sabonis but too bad his best years were well behind him by the time he got to the NBA. Not too many big men with hands as soft as he had.
I live in the Toronto area now and our team is at least respectable finally. They really need a wide body to fill up the paint...I don't think it matters if he can score or even be a big rebounder, just someone a la Bill Wennington or Luc Longley. The Raps have no shortage of scorers and their rebounding isn't bad so long as they can put a big body out there.
If you want to taste the fruit, you have to go out on a limb. But if you wait for the herd to move out on the limb....the branch tends to snap.
