Stevie's DONKEY

A city boy named Steve moved to Ada,Michigan and bought a donkey from an old Michigan farmer for $100.00. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.

The next day the farmer drove up and said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news. The donkey died on the way over to your place."

So Steve said, "Well then, just give me back my money."

The farmer replied, "Can't do that. I spent it already."

Steve said, "OK then, just unload the donkey."

The farmer asked, "What ya gonna do with him?"

Steve: "I'm going to raffle him off."

Farmer: " You can't raffle off a dead donkey!"

Steve: "Sure I can. I just won't tell anybody he is dead."

A month later the farmer met up with Steve and asked, "What
happened with that dead donkey?"

Steve: "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made a tidy profit of $898.00."

Farmer: "Didn't anyone complain?"

Steve: " Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars back."

Steve grew up and prospered, eventually becoming the New York Life representative in Grand Rapids, Michigan.....
