The most interesting looking feature is a well developed tropical wave just off the African coast. It is located along 18 west and south of 15 north and it is moving west at around 20 knots. Satellite loops show that it already looks like a tropical depression with bands of clouds spiraling in toward a center of circulation. A larger area of convection appears to be blowing up to the north of the center of circulation. Waters are just about warm enough to sustain development and upper-level shear is favorable, so this feature could maintain its strength or even become better organized over the next day or two.
