DNS is just an address. Let me break it down to you in layman terms so some of you people can understand the basics of website design. Say I am DP for example.

FYI: This website was created by Microsoft front page and in case you are wondering, just right click and "view Source"

Okay.

I create a website using my web site creating program. Front Page was used for this one.
So I have my site created, now I need to find a company to host it. But first I must register it with another company. That registrar will give me two DNS numbers and my hosting company will need those two numbers to access the site's address. Once all that is done, I upload my site from my web site creating program to the hosting company, and wallah! ...my site is up.
