PSA Selected for Networking Services to UK based ISP
September 27th, 2006
PSA is proud of announce that we have been selected to provide support services to a mid sized ISP located in the UK. Services provided will include routing/switching, security audits, and server management. Our client is at a “breakpoint” where they must decide upon hiring more staff within their IT department or to outsource. The client felt that outsourcing was an excellent solution for the next year to see if staff workload decreases or increases due to recent expansion program.

The client network consists of approximately 200 routers and switches, 150 Linux/Windows servers, and 35 firewall devices. Their network supports approximately 25,000 customers.

New Website Online!
September 15th, 2006
Welcome to the new home of Paul Stewart & Associates!ÂÂ As we move to this new web publishing system, our old news articles cannot be restored by date/time.

So, here’s a recap of what we’ve been up to for the past few years:

March 4th, 2005 - PSA proud to announce that we have been selected by major European telecomm to design new email hosting platform for their clients. Client size ranges from 100 up to 80,000 email boxes in size. Our customer wants to have a common clusterized, fault tolerant email system that handles all their customers yet is easily manageable.

December 21st, 2004 - PSA wins contract through bidding process with Canadian government agency for network security services. Included in this bid is also a complete re-vamping of their existing email infrastructure moving the client from MS Exchange platform into Linux based SQL driven email platform (DbMail). December 10th, 2004 - PSA renews contract with major dedicated server provider based in southern USA. Client has reported they are more than happy with our services in the past year and wish to renew contractual obligations. PSA is pleased to welcome client onboard for another year.

December 6th, 2004 - PSA selected by major UK Internet company to provide advice on scaling their existing infrastructure in the next 12-18 months. The client’s concerns are driven by increased spam, higher speed broadband, and continuous virus outbreaks.

November 2nd, 2004 - PSA selected by medium size ISP located in Southern USA to provide consultation on scaling existing network infrastructure to meet future growth objectives.

October 5th, 2004 - PSA finishes 3 year project for large US based retail chain to provide client with new POS solution using IP based connectivity. This exciting project has moved our client from leased line connections all over the US into typical broadband usage for their POS providing gigantic cost savings for their organization.

October 1st, 2004 - PSA selected by major Northeastern ISP to scale their existing email infrastructure from one large server into a load balanced, fault tolerant cluster formation. Cisco 6500 series gear played a key role in this projects completion.

September 22nd, 2004 - PSA finishes a month long security audit for a southern US based university. The client requested several firms to work co-operatively to provide an in dept study of their external and internal systems.

July 15th, 2004 - PSA is awarded contract from major ISP located in Western US to re-design their network topology, scale their email systems, and provide solutions for web hosting. Spam was a major factor in this ISP’s decisions to “over-scale” their infrastructure. Primarily Cisco 6500 and GSR gear was implemented on the network side, while Ensim was used on the web hosting implementation. Their email systems were scaled from two servers to 35 servers in less than one week with full load balancing and fail over.

June 7th, 2004 - PSA selected by major Canadian bank to provide security penetration analysis. The banking organization has their own security staff however requested outside assistance in testing their external facing firewall and security devices
