Elmer, blasting mutant alience is very important. Suppose there are 300 million of home computers (actually, who knows any official estimates?). Suppose Doom will be installed on 100 million machines (actually I think it will be more than that). And then imagine that 50% of those machines are not fast enough to run it (Durons, Celerons). So we have over 15% of all home computer owners unhappy about performance of their machines. They will start ask questions, why my 2.5 Ghz machine is slow and my friend's 2 Ghz machine is fast? Intel will have to answer, otherwise AMD will answer instead.
