options is a losing game. Spreads are huge, commisions are high, and --as aj well said-- you have to be right not once, but three times.
If you really want to gamble futures is a much better proposition.
Take YM, ES, NQ, or ER2 for instance: spread is minimal, (one tick) commisions are low, (you get them back if the trade moves one tick in your favor) and leverage is VERY high.
You are going to lose money anyway (at least until you get some experience) but at least the deck is not stacked against you THAT much.
