If Osoyoos cooperates and is good boys, the WHA might decide to stay there just to honor their word, but lets keep it real. Every team that ever played in Osoyoos stiffed the city. The WHA is the first group to ever come along and pay them what they owed them.
If Osoyoos wants to be good little boys, maybe the WHA will do them a favor and decide to keep a team there. Otherwise, it looks like Oliver will get all the attention and the hockey money in the area along with the boost to the local economy (and the increased taz revenues) the hockey provides. I have heard rumors that the professional marketing people have told Smith he should leave Osoyoos and stick with towns which have shown better support for franchises. Supposedly Smith wants to keep some kind of promise to supporters there but the pros say Osoyoos stinks. lol
Did you know that Osoyoos has a citizen who owns a hockey franchise and even he won't put the team in Osoyoos?
