US Housing Recession

It is technically perhaps premature to talk about a housing recession as we have only just seen the first price declines. (Before the latest round of stats it has only been slower increases.)

In terms of the proper definition of an economic recession we need to see two consecutive quarters of declining prices before the R word is "allowed". But don't hold you breath ...
