Seems strange that Japan would advertise it is selling US bonds? Or was it just identified that it was happening by Bloomberg?

Maybe it has something to do with this I got off anther board:

Headline for the WSJ tomorrow:

"China has announced plans to curb spending, raise energy prices and limit the credit supply in a bid to cool economic growth."



Maybe the big trillion yen buying binge to support the dollar has been postponed because China decided to give it a rest? And why would China want to curb growth.. man this is confusing

edit: I think I got a take on it. The Fed is using Japan and China as exuses to stop supporting bonds. They need to raise rates but dont want to take heat for it...
