Typical when there are naked shorts and "unusual" activety. It's really a bunch of bull$hit under the guise of protecting clients!

Basicly the specialists tell the brokers that they are in deep and need to keep the buys down so the PPS stays "controlled". IMHO I think the only facility that should be able to restrict any trading on an equity should be the SEC period.
