Yeast again:

It's interesting that during pregnancy estrogen levels raise and is given credit for increased yeast infections during the second trimester (need to double check this fact). Then in the third trimester 2me2 levels rise which has anti-yeast properties. I guess 2me2 tries to keep everything in balance.

Jerryoc1's posts of flatulence as a side effect of PanzemNCD got me thinking about the balance of yeast to bacteria. If Panzem tips the balance towards the bacteria then I thought that might be the cause of his gas. The reverse happens all the time, patients placed on anti-bacterial antibiotics tip the balance towards yeast and people especially women end up with yeast infects. That started me looking at yeast related side effects. Could yeast "probiotics" counter the effect of this odorous problem?

Yeast being high in phosphorus and B-vitamins is just too much of a coincidence. Panzem causes decreased phosphate levels and low energy. Could taking a yeast supplement counter these two side effects. Vit B complex is in a lot of, if not most, energy drinks sold in the stores.

There is something called the yeast "die off" effect. Mostly reported as flu-like symptoms which happens when the yeast in the gut die too rapidly and the toxins they accumulated or endotoxins are released faster than the body can accommodate them. I wonder if any patients reported this type of effect. Nausea and diarrhea might be part of flu-like symptoms but generally chills and aches and pains are included in flu descriptions.

Just some thoughts,
Aaron
