Product cost does not matter. The status of these are the songs and if they are seen as "Hot" Money is second to fashion trend. There are lots of people who can and can not afford the product who will spend the money to be "In Fashion"
Most new fashion products are way over priced but that is what people are willing to pay to be in style. If the product becomes "In Style" people will pay large amounts. Jeans can and do sell for $300 to 400 a pair. I wouild not pay that much but my 18 year old neice would.
