Sales of handhelds are expected to grow by 30 percent each year through 2005, bringing
total sales to 39 million units, according to the Aberdeen Group. About 8.9 million
handhelds were sold last year.2
PDA Corporate Market Snapshot
According to Goldman Sachs, the size of the wireless PDA market will increase
significantly over the next few years and the number of mobile users will grow 55 times
due to the continued quest for life and work balance.3 Corporate managers are beginning

of years, two-thirds of companies plan on implementing some kind of handheld corporate
software within their company. On average, 21 percent of workers are no longer tied to

A recent report by Forrester Research says that by 2003,45 percent of online users will

will increase 300 percent by 2002.
