SHANGHAI, May 30, 2007 (SinoCast via COMTEX) -- CDC Corporation (NASDAQ:CHINA) plans to make its software, online game, mobile and SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) business arms listed on stock market separately, the company recently revealed.
CDC is a global provider of enterprise software, mobile services and applications, and Internet and media services.
The company hopes to have its software unit listed at Nasdaq in the third quarter of 2007, under the ticker CDCS, the game unit at Nasdaq in the first half of 2008 under CDCG, the mobile business of its Hong Kong-listed arm China.com listed at Nasdaq in the second half of 2008 under CDCM, and to make its SPAC unit get listed at American Stock Exchange in the third quarter of 2007, according to CDC's chief executive.
CDC plans to pour USD 300 million into its game operations, which will be mainly used in acquiring the existing game companies.
CDC's acquisition targets spread broadly from China, Japan, to the US and Europe.
