It has been my experience that most if not all companies pay for this kind of analyst coverage.

They do not compensate the analyst directly, but they pay the representative company.

Taken from their disclaimer

Beacon has directly been compensated thirty thousand free trading shares by non-controlling third party shareholder (Radius IR) for enrollment in its research program.

Some further examples would be Redchip, Dutton, I am familiar with both of these and I believe they are compensated for their services.
