I can't imagine any financial deal that would stipulate reaching unit share over profitability. That's like saying I will loan you more money, if you promise to make twice as many widgets, even if you have to sell them at a loss to make up for low demand. If I am your lender, why would I encourage you to make a loss? Wouldn't I rather want to ensure that you can pay me back the loan amount...?
