I wish to thank everyone for all your kind words and thoughts. I am so grateful for the time we had together. To me Ginger was the "perfect companion". She got along with everyone. The only time she would bark was when she would get excited when she was chasing a ball or stick down by the lake near our house. She loved to swim and would do so almost every day. The only time I would not let her swim was when the air temperature was below freezing. When you let her outside she would never wonder and therefore we never needed a chain or fence. Where ever I went she would follow. She was smart as a whip and very affectionate.
There will never be another Ginger.
