Re: Just came across your epscontest-entry for current quarter and wondered about the reasoning for the GM-drop on Intel-side you see. Did not find any commentary in the raw data. Could you elaborate what's behind it?

It was based on guidance, and also a feeling that ramping Core 2 out in the 4000 series would increase demand for mainstream parts, and push the mix of CPUs farther towards the minus side of the plus/minus guidance.

Of course, Intel has stated that about 2% of GMs is impacted by capacity loading requirements, which disappear in the second half of the year. So my guidance for Q3 will rise approximately 2%, or possibly a little more, since Q3 includes back to school and a number of other increased buying periods, which tend to push up demand for the higher priced processors.
