What's excellent about having the auction included as a Live EBay auction is that the winning bids for each and every item sold in the auction will be available on Ebay, whether that bid comes from the EBay or from a floor bidder.
Every item will have the winning bid identified. So we can all track the money coming in, item by item, throughout the auction.
Everybody will know exactly how well (or how badly) the auction is going.
You have to be a registered EBay user, but that's free. You don't have to be registered to participate in the auction on Ebay. You can look at the completed items listing, or you can watch the bidding reported in real-time by EBay.
It appears that it is going to be hard for RA to make up numbers, but then we are talking about RA...
