I looked it up, and there is/was a link to the Gateses' foundation. I would almost swear that Gates also owned a big chunk of TGEN personally, but sold it some years ago, but I can't find an easy link to that information, and it is probably somewhat off-topic here anyway. Despite his lauded charitable intentions, Gates is one fickle bird when his own self-interest isn't involved.
