Did everyone notice the 1.3 billion acquisition of Esperion by Pfizer today? The purchase price was considered "negligable" for PFE as an outlay. Just mentioning it as an example of the prices these big pharm companies are willing to pay for a company with a good pipeline. 1.3 bil thrown our way = $13/share, and we all believe we're worth much more.
On another topic, I've been thinking that the non pharmaceutical application of gene silencing could be as big if not bigger than the medical stuff. Since the target cellular process is so specific, it seems we could develop products for the ag. industry that would target a specific insect pest, rather than everything that crawls, with no danger to people, animals, or from run-off. Likewise, a specific fungus or other crop killer could also be targeted. Makes your head spin just contemplating.
