Thanks for being so observant. Over the past 2 1/2 years while they have been redesigning and reenginering the lock different versions, makes, models, and colors have been used.

I'm not sure which version you have or whom you purchased and as Andy Wise on CBS News Does It Work said " They aren't even out yet" so I don't understand your comment concerning the "white plastic ones currently being sold".

Rumor has it they will first be sold at Home Depot. I say that as Home Depot has available on website. I'm not sure if they have the white plastic or brass finish. I suspect different colors for different decor in your house. Have you ever heard of choices?

I believe the lock comes in 3 colors.

Does your model say Regency Biolock?
