i have the ability to run ncic (nat'l wanted people) or by any state, but only for police purposes (not just to search for fun),,

fyi, ncic is only for current wanted "unserved warrants" ,, the criminal history is something else, that is for past convictions.. that, in some cases, the public can get.

i dont know what you all are doing but just wanted to pop in and verify her info is right that ncic is only for law enforcement. HOWEVER.. when a citizen calls in asking if they themself or someone else is wanted.. sometime the warrants desk is allowed to give that info out and so is a sworn officer.. im not, as im no longer a cop, i took a non-sworn police position for call taker.. (much safer, haha)

i can run the info and put it in calls, thats it.
