Universal Guardian Earns $6.734 Million Security Contract

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 17, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Universal Guardian Holdings, Inc. ( UGHO ), an emerging global leader in non- lethal protection products, integrated transportation and global supply chain security systems, and strategic security services to protect against terrorist, criminal, and security threats to governments and businesses worldwide announced today that Universal Guardian's Service Group subsidiary in Afghanistan, Strategic Security Solutions International (SSSI) has earned a multi-year contract from AED worth 6.734 million dollars through 2011 to provide security support services to the AED (Academy for Education Development) in Afghanistan for Rural Expansion of Afghanistan's Community- Based Health Care.

AED is a subcontractor to Management Sciences for Health on this program, which is USAID's (United States Aid for International Development) largest health initiative in Afghanistan. AED has been in existence for the last forty-four years and are presently conducting 4,300 programs in 167 countries and employ 1400 staff.

"This new contract represents an increase from our previous contract of $3.273 million to $6.734 million," stated Michael Skellern, Universal Guardian CEO. As a result of the ever changing situation in Afghanistan, this Subcontract will continue to evolve as the result of in- country developments and changes.
