Per Jay Middleton quotes:

"I have re-focused my racing more to moving to the next level," Middleton said. "We have an ARCA car in the garage. It is pretty much ready to go, but we have to get enough money to go to the track. That is the goal of this show."

So who gets the contract, Jay or the contestant?

""There are four competitors per show and the winner gets to race me in a full-body car."

Middleton said the first eight shows will narrow the field to eight, then the real reality part kicks in. For the next shows (13 episodes have been ordered) the eight contestants stay together at the Bronson track and they are followed by the cameras in their day-to-day routine."

Looks like 32 contestants was right...

"Lee Schaefer, who Middleton met in Nashville through Glenn Allen Jr., is the commissioner and will announce the exits on the show. Middleton is combination driver, instructor and co-host."

So they bring in a "Noob" instead of the previous Busch Rookie of the Year? Now that is a quality move.

""I don't want to be a TV star as much as I do a race driver.""

I guess all of the contestants tried out just to be TV stars, too? Maybe that is way the show is about RACING! Come on, people!
