Cusip change does not force the MM's to cover but it does give the Transfer Agent an idea on how large the short is.

Which is why NWWM to NWWV didn't cause a big run up but we did get a PR from the company with the President of the transfer agent commenting on how they are working on the short.

Frankiy and I have said it over and over the only way in this low volume market to force a short is a divy that we've seen.

However an announcement with a big JV could also do the trick but they have to be well known. That way you get the volume in and once the PPS reaches a certain break point the short squeeze would happen. Of course all imo from what I've seen in the market.
