There is demand for 64 bit hign end desktop considering Athlon 64's success.

That is a non-sequitur, especially given that there is no
mainstream 64 bit OS for it.

There is always demand for the highest gaming performance
x86 desktop processor, especially if it is reasonably priced.
Had the A64 been 32 bit instead of 64 bit I doubt that fact
would affect its current sales in the least.

When's the next update of Deerfield?

What does that have to do with A64? Deerfield is not a
desktop chip nor was it intended to be sold to run x86
applications as its primary purpose. And AFAIK the number
of IA-64 coded games available right now is zero. wink
