from jmhollen on SI - "Those are the newer style "..thin wall.." aluminum cans originally developed at Coors that are actually blown or hydraulically formed from aluminum sheet in mass quantities. They are now used by most of the Pop companies. The snap-retaining pop tops are applied after the filling process. That should save some money on production over the older technologies.
The cans will chill quickly in the fridge or cooler, and then if used with an insulated can holder are very energy efficient. Hopefully RUSH will make a point of that in their advertising.
