Online Power Supply's Breakthrough Technology Yields Smallest, Lightest,
Most Efficient Power Supplies

Units Available for Industry Review and Testing November 6

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Oct 30, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- OnLine Power Supply,
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: OPWR) has introduced a significant advancement in
power supply technology for AC to DC applications. The company's new Power
Factor Corrected Front End Module is the smallest, lightest, most reliable, most
efficient power supply with no thermal deration currently available. The units,
which have been in development for the past three years, are available for
review and testing beginning November 6.

OnLine Power Supply, headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, develops,
manufactures and markets AC to DC power conversion supplies for
telecommunications, data communications, networking and industrial applications.

The new power supply units allow design engineers the freedom to redesign and
reconfigure a wide range of equipment. They are over 97% efficient, the only
units available that include the EMI filter and hold-up capacitors internally.
Therefore they offer more power in a smaller form factor. This is a powerful
advantage for manufacturers, allowing them to decrease the size and increase the
performance of their equipment for end users.

The units' smaller size and lighter weight -- the units measure 2.9" x 1.6" x
5.7" and weigh less than two pounds -- mean they can supply more power than
traditional units in a more compact space. The units generate less heat,
eliminating the need for bulky cooling fans. These are important advantages in
the communications and networking industries where reducing equipment size and
footprint are high priorities.

The units' reliability and ability to function well in harsh environments
increase their potential applications. They function at full power in
temperatures ranging from -40 degrees to +85 degrees C, making them ideal for
placement in outdoor equipment like communications towers and cell sites. They
offer universal input so they can be used anywhere in the world.

OnLine's new units offer manufacturers a cost advantage in addition to design
flexibility. They supply more power per unit, thus lowering overall system costs
and increasing profitability.

"Our new power supply has the potential to change the industry," said Kris
Budinger, OnLine Power Supply president and CEO. "We've been told that our specs
are unbelievable, that it can't be done. So we are offering design engineers a
challenge: test one of our units for 30 days. We are confident that your results
will match or exceed ours."
