Plus, if you're in the business of only catering to sophisticated or accredited investors, you don't need to advertise to the rest of the world.

Another example of someone that wouldn't have a website if it weren't required to easily get information to the investors is berkshirehathaway.com. Doesn't even have a logo or anything but text.
